For one, the iPhone 5 is expected to come with the latest and greatest mobile OS from Apple, iOS 6. The new iPad too, is expected to have the new version of iOS, so seeing what the operating system on the iPad will allow give us a unique glimpse into the future as to what will be on the iPhone 5.
Face recognition software is something that we saw in Android 4.0 ICS, but it was mysteriously absent with Apple’s iOS 5. But with the release of the new iPad and with it a new OS, Apple fans can finally enjoy the benefits of having a phone that recognizes their face, for security purposes.
With the iPhone 4S already having SIRI, it is a given that the iPhone 5 is going to have some form of voice-activated search assistant software. But since the new iPad has SIRI 2, then it would make a lot of sense to expect it to show up in the iPhone 5 as well.
Although one of the biggest selling points of the new iPad is the hugely improved screen resolution thanks to its Retina display, the iPhone 4S already has that same technology. Having said that, it doesn’t take much imagination to see that an improved Retina display on the iPhone 5 will happen.
