Will Samsung’s Galaxy S3 steal the spotlight from the iPhone 5?

iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3
It looks to be a repeat of what happened to the iPhone 4S. Samsung plans to release the Galaxy S3 ahead of schedule, rumored to be months earlier then the release of Apple’s iPhone 5. Much like the Samsung Galaxy S2, the S3 will be released early in the year in April to coincide with the 2012 London Olympics.
Last year Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy S2 almost a year ahead of Apple’s iPhone 4S, as a result Samsung won numerous awards and was arguable the best smartphone of 2011. Now what will Apple do in response? will they want another repeat? or will they also move the schedule of the iPhone 5 release to the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S3?
Since its launch in 2010, Apple has sold well over 55 million iPads. There has been a lot of excitement generated in recent months with rumors that Apple plans to launch the new iPad 3 on March 7th, 2012. It is expected that the new device will have a lot of improvements.

The device is expected to have twice the resolution of its predecessors; it is also reported to possess a more powerful and faster processor most likely with 4 cores and 4G capability. If the improvements already made on the iPhone 4S’ high-resolution display, the iPad 3 is sure to have an impressive display. Both the rear and front cameras are likely to be upgraded to offer more refined images. The iPad 3 is also expected to have better and improved graphics; making images move smoothly and look attractive.
In the last two years, Apple has generally dominated the tablet market, many tablets have come after the iPad to try and outstrip it it but they seem to have failed. It is likely that with the iPad 3, Apple will want to assert themselves and continue to dominate the tablet market. It is also likely that there may be a slight drop in the price of this new device to help Apple secure the already competitive market.
Ahead of the launch there have also been rumors indicating that Apple could be having some shortfall in the materials used for its new high resolution Retina displays, it is feared they may not have enough to meet the anticipated demand at the launch of this new product.
So stay tuned for more news and let’s hope they have enough materials for the iPhone 5!
